OZARK, Ala. (WDNews) — As a reminder, the Ozark Police Department will host an open recruiting event Saturday, June 27, beginning at 8 a.m. at the Carroll High School football stadium.
According to the Ozark Bureau of Police Services, the event is open to individuals interested in becoming police officers. Officers from several specialized divisions will be on site to answer questions and discuss career opportunities within the department.
The event will begin with a physical fitness test. The department said applicants must be at least 19 years old by the academy start date to apply.
Attendees will also have the opportunity to meet members of the K-9 Unit, Criminal Investigations Bureau (C.I.B.), School Resource Officers (SRO), Crime Suppression Unit and Traffic Homicide Investigations (T.H.I.).
According to the department, applicants can also learn about fitness requirements, available career paths and the department’s mentor program, which is designed to help guide recruits through the hiring process.
The recruiting event will be held at Carroll High School Stadium, 141 Eagle Way in Ozark. Participants are encouraged to wear physical training attire with running shoes, stay hydrated and bring water. The event begins at 8 a.m. Saturday.
