DOTHAN, Ala. (WDNews) — Dothan Leisure Services will take part in the World’s Largest Swim Lesson on June 25, offering free swim lessons at three Dothan locations as part of a nationwide water safety event.
According to Dothan Leisure Services, the special event features a free 45-minute swim lesson designed to help participants build confidence in the water while learning important water safety skills. The event also connects local swimmers with aquatic centers across the country participating in the annual program.
The lessons are open to participants ages 3 and older. Space is limited, and only the first 25 people who register online at each location will be guaranteed a spot.
Lessons will be offered at the following locations:
Doug Tew Recreation Center: 8:30 a.m. to 9:15 a.m.
Andrew Belle Community Center: 9 a.m. to 9:45 a.m.
Walton Park: 10 a.m. to 10:45 a.m.
Organizers encourage families to register early to secure a place in the event.
