DOTHAN, Ala. — The City of Dothan is inviting residents to enjoy a free family movie night as the Movies in the Park series returns Friday evening with a screening of Back to the Future in downtown Dothan.
According to a release from the City of Dothan Community Relations Office, the event will take place at Porter Park & Events Plaza, located at 125 N. St. Andrews Street next to the Dothan Opera House.
The evening begins at 6 p.m. with food trucks and local vendors, including Crossfire Pizza, Big Back Energy, Nothing Bundt Cakes and Fairy Dust Ice. The movie is scheduled to begin at 7:30 p.m.
City officials described the event as a free, family-friendly evening under the stars designed to bring the community together in a relaxed outdoor setting.
Guests are encouraged to bring blankets, round-bottom lawn chairs or camping chairs and enjoy the movie with family and friends.
The city noted that Movies in the Park is open to the public and offers residents a chance to enjoy a classic film in the heart of downtown Dothan.
