ENTERPRISE, Ala. — Main Street Enterprise is bringing back its popular pet banner program for 2027, giving residents another opportunity to showcase their pets while supporting downtown beautification efforts.
The “FUR’iends of Main Street Enterprise” program features colorful 24-inch by 36-inch double-sided banners displayed on light poles throughout the downtown district. Organizers said each banner is available for $100 and includes a different pet on each side for an additional $25. Previous participants can renew their banners for $50.
Organizers noted that all types of pets are welcome.
“This program has become a fun and personal way for people to support downtown while celebrating the pets they love,” said Main Street Enterprise Executive Director Lily McDaniel. “We were encouraged to see many returning participants this year, and we hope the program continues to grow with even more new banners in the future.”
Funds raised through the program support downtown improvement and beautification projects within the Main Street district. According to the city, a portion of this year’s proceeds helped fund replacement banners for decorative flags recently installed downtown. Officials said many of the previous banners had experienced significant wear after years of exposure to weather and were due for replacement.
The Main Street Organization Committee voted to continue the program annually as a community-driven initiative designed to promote downtown pride and engagement.
Residents interested in participating can register through the City of Enterprise Community Services RecDesk portal.
