ENTERPRISE, Ala. (WDNews) — The search for 2-year-old Genesis Reid remains the top priority for the Enterprise Police Department, according to a statement released to the community.
Genesis was reported missing in the early morning hours of Feb. 16. Since then, local, state and federal law enforcement agencies have continued working together in what officials describe as a coordinated and comprehensive effort to follow leads, analyze evidence and examine all information connected to the case.
“Locating Genesis has remained our highest priority from the moment she was reported missing,” officials said. “Our focus remains unwavering. Our goal is to bring Genesis home safely.”
Investigators say they continue to receive tips from the public and expressed appreciation for the prayers and support pouring in from across the Wiregrass, the nation and even internationally.
“The outpouring of care reflects how deeply people value and protect children,” the department said. “Genesis is not just a case. She is a little girl, and she matters to this community.”
Authorities are urging anyone with information to come forward, emphasizing that even small details could be important to the investigation.
“If you have information — no matter how small it may seem — please share it directly with investigators,” the statement said. “Even minor details can prove significant. Someone knows something. It is that simple.”
Police also asked the public not to share unverified information on social media, noting that doing so can impact the integrity of the investigation. Instead, officials say tips should be reported directly to law enforcement so they can be properly evaluated.
