DOTHAN — Dothan City Schools is offering up to a $3,000 Hiring and Retention Bonus for certified teachers through its “Teach Where You’re Needed Most” program.
According to the district, the bonus is available to certified teachers serving in targeted schools and certified shortage-area positions.
The district outlined that 25% of the bonus is paid after 60 days of employment, 25% is paid after completion of the first semester, and the remaining 50% is paid by May 1.
Eligibility requirements listed by the district include full Alabama certification, placement at a targeted school, assignment in a certified shortage-area position, and a three-year service agreement.
