ENTERPRISE, Ala. (WDNews) — Registration for the 2025–26 youth basketball season with Enterprise Parks and Recreation Department (EPRD) will open Monday, Sept. 29, and run through Friday, Oct. 10.
The program, offered in partnership with Jr. NBA, is open to boys and girls ages 5–14. Registration is $45 and includes a team jersey and a participation certificate at the end of the season.
Last year, more than 600 young athletes took part in the league, making basketball one of the department’s most popular programs. All drafts, practices, and games this year will be held at the Enterprise Recreation and Aquatics Center, a state-of-the-art facility that opened in February.
“We are thrilled to see our youth basketball program continue to grow and bring the community together,” said Landon Adams, EPRD Superintendent. “Enterprise Parks and Recreation has built a strong reputation for top-tier athletic programs, and having the new facility allows us to further invest in our programs and activities while providing an exceptional experience for our participants.”
Tyler Keiser, Athletics Supervisor, said the focus remains on creating a great experience for young athletes.
“Seeing the excitement on the kids’ faces when they put on their new jerseys for the first time is what it’s all about,” he said. “Our goal is to build teamwork, confidence, and a love of the game, and I think this season will be our best yet.”
Pre-draft evaluations will be conducted for new players or those moving to a new age group. Returning players in the same age group will automatically remain on their teams. Practices will begin in November, with games tipping off in January 2026 and scheduled on Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays, Fridays, and Saturdays.
EPRD is also seeking volunteer coaches to support the program. All coaches must complete an application, pass a background check, and finish the required state safety certification course. Applications can be submitted through www.rec.enterprisereal.gov.
Parents and guardians may register athletes in person at 421 E. Lee Street or online at eprd.recdesk.com/community/program. For more information, contact the EPRD Athletics Department at 334-348-2681.
