OZARK, Ala. (WDNews) — Ozark Police say a stabbing victim shot the person who stabbed him after an argument Sunday afternoon on Dixie Drive.
According to the department, officers and Dale County Sheriff’s deputies responded around 4:45 p.m. on Sept. 14 to the 400 block of Dixie Drive after a 911 call reporting a stabbing. Investigators determined the man who was stabbed fired a gun, hitting the alleged attacker.
Police said the dispute started over a prior claim that one man had damaged the other’s vehicle.
The stabbing victim was taken to a Dothan hospital with a moderate injury. The man who was shot in the lower extremities was treated at Dale Medical Center and released later that night.
Ozark’s Criminal Investigations Unit, including crime scene technicians, processed the scene, interviewed witnesses, and canvassed the area. The department thanked the Dale County Sheriff’s Office and community members who shared information.
