DOTHAN, Ala. (WDNews) – The Dothan City School Board has approved the appointment of Brian Riviere as the new principal of Dothan High School during its meeting on September 9, 2025.
Brian Riviere new Principal at Dothan High SchoolRiviere has 27 years of experience in education, including 17 years in administration and 12 years as a principal. He earned a Master of Science in Educational Leadership from the University of West Florida in 2008, graduating Summa Cum Laude, and a Bachelor of Science in Education with ESOL from Florida State University in 2002.
“We are excited to welcome Mr. Riviere as the new leader of Dothan High School,” said Dr. Garrick Askew. “His wealth of experience, academic excellence, and passion for education will be instrumental in guiding our students and staff toward continued achievement.”
Riviere said he is committed to strengthening relationships with students, faculty, parents, and the community to promote academic excellence, innovation, and opportunity at Dothan High School.
