DOTHAN, Ala. (WDNews) — Former Wallace Community College baseball standout Kade Snell has been recognized for his work off the field.
According to Wallace Community College, Snell received the 2026 Corporal Paul Deguch Community Service Award from the South Bend Cubs.
The award recognizes a South Bend Cubs player who demonstrates outstanding community service. The team described Snell as a leader both in the clubhouse and in the community.
Snell played for the Wallace Governors in 2022 and 2023 before continuing his baseball career at the University of Alabama.
He was selected by the Chicago Cubs in the fifth round of the 2025 MLB Draft and now plays in the Cubs organization.
Wallace Community College congratulated its former player, saying it was proud to see Snell “making an impact both on and off the field.”
