DOTHAN, Ala. (WDNews) — The Salvation Army in Dothan is looking for volunteers to help “Ring in Joy” this Christmas season by serving as bell ringers at local collection sites.
Volunteers can choose the location, date and time that works best for them. Bell ringers help collect donations that support Salvation Army programs and services in the community.
To sign up, visit www.salvationarmydothan.org and look for the “Ring in Joy This Christmas — Volunteer to Be a Bell Ringer” banner. Volunteers can then select a location and choose an available shift.
Participants will be asked to create a profile with their name, phone number, email, mailing address, date of birth and emergency contact information.
Once registration is complete, volunteers will receive an email confirming their location, date and time. The confirmation email also includes a link that can be used to change or cancel a shift.
Volunteers can also invite family members, friends or coworkers to participate by using the “Share with Friends” option during registration.
Anyone with questions can call 334-792-1911 for more information.
