DOTHAN, Ala. (WDNews) — High school seniors from across the Wiregrass will gather Thursday, Oct. 1, at Dothan High School for the annual Henry/Houston County College Fair.
The event will be held at the Dothan High School Convocation Center and will give students a chance to learn more about educational opportunities after graduation.
More than 30 colleges and universities are expected to participate, along with representatives from several branches of the military.
Students from Dothan High School, Dothan City Virtual School and schools across Houston and Henry counties are scheduled to attend throughout the morning.
Participating schools have been assigned scheduled time slots beginning at 8:30 a.m., with the final session set for 12:30 p.m. Students attending the fair were required to register in advance.
The annual event is held in partnership with the Dothan Area Chamber of Commerce and Wallace Community College. Dothan High School has hosted the college fair since 2022.
Dothan City Schools said the fair gives seniors access to information and resources as they explore their options after high school.
The college fair is not open to the general public.
