DOTHAN, Ala. (WDNews) — Porter Park is inviting families to enjoy a fall movie night under the stars with a screening of “Hocus Pocus” on Friday, Oct. 2.
The movie will begin at 7 p.m. Visitors are encouraged to bring chairs and blankets, grab some food and enjoy the outdoor showing.
Coolers are welcome, but outside alcohol is not permitted. Park officials said coolers will be checked as guests enter the park.
Anyone under 16 must be accompanied by an adult age 19 or older. Children may not be dropped off at the park and must remain with and be supervised by an adult during the event.
Visitors are also asked to clean up before leaving. Trash cans are located throughout Porter Park, and officials are asking guests to place their trash in a nearby container.
Park officials said they are working on special event licenses for next year but are asking visitors to follow the current rules during this year’s events.
The movie night gives families and friends a chance to enjoy a fall evening together at Porter Park.
