DOTHAN, Ala. (WDNews) — Drivers and residents along East and West Franklin streets should prepare for resurfacing work beginning Monday, Sept. 28.
According to the City of Dothan, Lewis Incorporated, a contractor for the Public Works Department, will complete the resurfacing project.
Work will take place in two sections. Crews will work from South Alice Street to Oates Street on Sept. 28. On Sept. 29, work will continue from Oates Street to the dead end near the railroad.
Flaggers will direct traffic around the work zone. Access to nearby businesses may also be disrupted for short periods while crews are working.
Residents along the affected streets are asked to remove all vehicles, garbage containers and other items from the roadway before work begins.
Motorists should use caution in the area and watch for workers in the roadway.
