According to the Brundidge Police Department, officers responded to a 911 call around 3:15 a.m. Sept. 22 reporting a gunshot victim at a residence at 126 McSwain Street.

Police said officers found an adult man inside the home suffering from a fatal gunshot wound. The victim was identified as James Earl Dunford, 69, of Brundidge.
