DOTHAN, Ala. (WDNews) — Organizers of the 2026 Dothan Witches Ride have released the parade route and are reminding spectators about an important safety change for this year’s event.
The parade will take place Saturday, Oct. 3, with the ride beginning at 3 p.m.
Organizers said the route is similar to previous years, but the Judges’ Station has been moved to the end of the parade route.
The area immediately after the Judges’ Station will be closed to spectators to give carts, brooms and parade participants enough room to safely come to a stop.
Spectators are specifically asked not to stand at the corner of Redwood Avenue and Forest Drive.
Parade participants will also be instructed to stop throwing candy and other goodies once they pass the Judges’ Station.
Roads surrounding Solomon Park will close well before the parade begins. Organizers are encouraging spectators to arrive early and find a viewing spot.
Vehicles should not be parked anywhere along the parade route. Organizers said vehicles left along the route will be towed.
Following the parade, the celebration will continue at Solomon Park with an after-party featuring live music, inflatables, face painting, vendors, food trucks and other activities.
Spectators are encouraged to wear Halloween costumes and enjoy the afternoon festivities.
