Applications Open for Fall Ozark 101 Program

OZARK, Ala. (WDNews) — Applications are now open for the fall 2026 Ozark 101 leadership program, according to the Ozark Area Chamber of Commerce.

Ozark 101 is an eight-week program designed to give residents a closer look at how city government operates while helping participants build leadership and professional skills.

The program covers city departments, daily operations, financial budgets, street ratings, environmental regulations and other areas of local government.

Classes will be held Wednesdays from 2 to 5 p.m. beginning Sept. 30.

The program is free to the public, but participation is limited to 20 people. Applicants will be accepted in the order their applications are received.

The first session will begin in the City Council Chambers on the second floor of Ozark City Hall. Later sessions will be held at different locations throughout the city.

Organizers said some sessions may include walking or standing at off-site locations, and participants are encouraged to wear comfortable clothing and shoes. Snacks and water will be provided during each session, with a dinner planned following the final session.

Applications are available at Ozark City Hall or the Ozark Airport.
