OPP, Ala. (WDNews) — Book lovers will have a chance to meet dozens of local and regional writers during an upcoming Local Author Book Fair in Opp.
The Opp Public Library and Opp & Covington County Area Chamber of Commerce will host the event Thursday, Sept. 10, from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Opp Depot, 200 South Main St.
The book fair will feature 35 local and regional authors with books covering a variety of genres and topics.
Visitors can browse war memoirs, local stories, inspirational works, fiction, children’s books and more.
Guests will also have an opportunity to meet the authors, learn about their work, purchase books and have copies personally signed.
Organizers said the event was created to celebrate writers from the area while encouraging reading, supporting local authors and bringing the community together.
The Local Author Book Fair is open to the community.
