HOLMES COUNTY, Fla. (WDNews)— A woman was arrested on drug and firearm charges following a traffic stop in Ponce de Leon.
According to the Holmes County Sheriff’s Office, an investigator stopped a Nissan Titan for a traffic violation on Aug. 11.
During the stop, a passenger was identified as Amie Glorit. The sheriff’s office said the investigator asked whether there was anything illegal inside the vehicle. Glorit reportedly told the investigator someone had placed a container inside her purse.
Authorities said Glorit gave consent for her purse to be searched. Investigators reportedly found a .22-caliber pistol inside the purse.
The sheriff’s office said a sunglasses case inside the purse contained a glass pipe commonly used to smoke methamphetamine and a baggie containing suspected methamphetamine.
Glorit was arrested and charged with possession of methamphetamine and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.
