JACKSON COUNTY, Fla. — One person is dead following a reported drowning at a local creek Monday, Aug. 10.
According to the Jackson County Sheriff’s Office, deputies responded to the reported drowning. Jackson County Fire Rescue and sheriff’s office investigators also responded and began rendering aid.
Despite their efforts, the individual was pronounced dead.
The Jackson County Sheriff’s Office Criminal Investigations Division is handling the investigation.
“At this time, no foul play is suspected,” the sheriff’s office said.
No additional details about the individual or circumstances surrounding the drowning were released.
