DOTHAN, Ala. (WDNews) — Dothan welcomed archers from across Alabama over the weekend as Eastgate Park hosted the Alabama Recreation and Parks Association State Archery Tournament.
The tournament featured 56 archers representing five cities competing in bare bow and open bow divisions. Forty of the participants competed in the therapeutic division.
“Everyone did an awesome job!” Dothan Leisure Services said in a social media post following the tournament.
The department thanked the archers, coaches, families, volunteers and staff who helped make the event possible.
“We couldn’t thank you enough,” the department said.
ARPA Recreational Sports Committee Chairman Tommie Agee and ARPA Executive Director Natalie Norman attended the tournament.
“Great job today, everyone,” Dothan Leisure Services said. “We’re so proud and thankful for each and every one of you!”
