ENTERPRISE, Ala. (WDNews) — Enterprise Police have made an arrest in connection with Friday’s shooting that left one man injured and several vehicles and a business struck by gunfire.
According to the Enterprise Police Department, Ja’vonte Griggs of Elba was arrested early Saturday morning in connection with the Aug. 7 shooting.
Griggs is charged with attempted murder and discharging a firearm into an occupied building.
Police responded around 5 p.m. Friday to the Morgan Square Mall parking lot after receiving a report of shots fired. One man suffered a gunshot wound and was taken to a hospital for treatment. His condition was not released.
Police initially said detectives were seeking information about three possible suspects who may have been traveling in a black Chevrolet Camaro.
Enterprise Police thanked the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives, Alabama Law Enforcement Agency, Daleville Police Department, Elba Police Department and Coffee County Sheriff’s Office for assisting with the investigation.
The investigation remains ongoing. Police said additional information will be released as it becomes available.
