HOUSTON COUNTY, Ala. (WDNews) — According to the Houston County Sheriff’s Office, a Newville man has been arrested following an investigation that began after authorities received a tip from the International Crimes Against Children (ICAC) Task Force.
The sheriff’s office said it received the tip on April 29, 2026, indicating that files had been requested from an artificial intelligence (AI) platform that allegedly contained child sexual abuse material.
According to investigators, search warrants were executed on July 23 at a residence in the 8500 block of County Road 99 in Henry County and another location in the 1100 block of East Saunders Road in Houston County.
Christopher Brian Davis, 33, of Newville, was arrested and charged with 32 counts of possession of child pornography/dissemination. He was booked into the Houston County Jail and is being held on bonds totaling $960,000.
According to the Houston County Sheriff’s Office, the investigation remains ongoing and additional charges are expected.
