WICKSBURG, Ala. (WDNews) — According to Wicksburg Fire & Rescue, the department is looking for new volunteers to serve the community and is encouraging anyone with a willingness to help to get involved.
The department said no previous experience is required.
“Looking for a way to give back to your community? Join the Wicksburg Fire & Rescue Volunteer Department! No experience needed just a willing heart to serve. Contact any current member for more information,” the department said.
According to Wicksburg Fire & Rescue, volunteers can serve in several roles, including firefighting, rescue, medical response, support services, fundraising and community events.
The department said volunteers receive training and have the opportunity to develop lifesaving skills while serving their neighbors.
According to the recruitment announcement, Wicksburg Fire & Rescue is seeking “dedicated men and women who want to make a difference.”
“Whether you have experience or are brand new, we welcome anyone willing to learn, train, and serve,” the department said.
Wicksburg Fire & Rescue, highlights several reasons to join, including the opportunity to “Serve your neighbors,” “Learn lifesaving skills,” “Be part of a family-oriented team,” “Give back to the Wicksburg community,” and receive “Training provided.”
The department also emphasized that “No experience required, just a willing heart!”
