DOTHAN, Ala. (WDNews) — Dothan Housing is partnering with Lynnd A Helping Hand to provide qualifying families with essential household items during a community giveaway on Saturday, Aug. 1.
According to Dothan Housing, “Housing stability can be a bridge between surviving and thriving, as well as the essentials that help support it.”
The organization said it is “proud to partner with Lynnd A Helping Hand to support families with essential household items.”
The Community Giveaway will be held from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Crimson Ridge Community Room, 105 Booker St., Dothan.
According to the event announcement, registered participants will receive household items based on their identified needs. Available items may include kitchen items and cookware, pots and pans, bedding and linens, towels and bath linens, curtains and other small household necessities.
The event will also feature a light breakfast, inspirational testimony and words of encouragement, community support resources and the household essentials giveaway.
According to organizers, only 30 spots are available, and registration is required to attend.
Dothan Housing said, “Every towel, every pot, every set of curtains, and every act of generosity helps turn a house into a home.”
