WALTON COUNTY, Fla. (WDNews) — An $11,000 reward is being offered for information leading to the arrest of a woman wanted on a murder charge who has ties to Florida, Georgia and lower Alabama.
According to the Walton County Sheriff’s Office, Isabelle Johnson, 38, is wanted on an open count of murder in connection with the death of 43-year-old Jason Coulthart.
Coulthart’s remains were found June 25 on property off Sunset Lane in Freeport. Investigators said the discovery followed information received from the Niceville Police Department about Coulthart’s location.
Five people have been arrested on charges of accessory after the fact to a capital felony as authorities continue searching for Johnson. The sheriff’s office said she has been actively evading law enforcement.
Johnson is described as a white woman who is approximately 5 feet, 3 inches tall and weighs about 120 pounds. She has brown hair and hazel eyes, but investigators believe she may have recently cut her hair short and dyed it to disguise her identity.
According to the sheriff’s office, Johnson is known to use multiple identities and aliases, including Harley, Jessica Elaine Bowman, Jessica Elaine Thrush, Jessica Elaine Thrash, Jessica Dowdy and possibly “Denise.”
Authorities said she has ties to Okaloosa and Walton counties in Florida, as well as several areas in Georgia and lower Alabama.
Investigators said Johnson frequently moves from place to place and may seek help from others by claiming she is experiencing domestic violence or other personal hardships. She may ask people for rides, money or other assistance.
Johnson is believed to have a floral tattoo on her left hand near her thumb and forefinger, along with a tattoo on her right ankle.
Emerald Coast Crime Stoppers is offering up to $6,000 for information leading to Johnson’s arrest. The Florida Sheriffs Association Criminal Apprehension Assistance Program contributed an additional $5,000.
To qualify for the reward, tips must be submitted anonymously through Crime Stoppers at 850-863-TIPS.
