DOTHAN, Ala. (WDNews) — The Wiregrass Stampede Rodeo rides into Dothan today, bringing two nights of rodeo action to the National Peanut Festival Fairgrounds.
The rodeo will be held today, July 10, and Saturday, July 11, with gates opening at 5 p.m. and the rodeo beginning at 7 p.m. each evening.
Fans can look forward to an exciting lineup of traditional rodeo events, including bull riding, barrel racing, saddle bronc riding, bareback riding, team roping and other crowd favorites. The event promises entertainment for all ages with some of the sport’s top competitors taking to the arena.
Children ages 5 and younger will be admitted free. Food vendors and family-friendly activities will also be available throughout the event.
The Wiregrass Stampede Rodeo has become a popular summer tradition, drawing visitors from across the Wiregrass for a weekend of Western-style entertainment and community fun.
Those planning to attend are encouraged to arrive early to enjoy the festivities before the rodeo begins. Gates open at 5 p.m., with the first event getting underway at 7 p.m. both nights.
