ENTERPRISE, Ala. (WDNews) — According to the Enterprise Police Department, community members, local businesses, churches, civic organizations and volunteers have continued to rally behind those searching for Genesis Reid by providing meals, snacks, drinks, donations and other support.
In a social media post, the department thanked the community for its generosity during the ongoing search effort.
“As the search for Genesis continues, we want to pause and say THANK YOU to the many businesses, churches, organizations, civic groups, and generous citizens who have helped keep our volunteers fed and encouraged,” the department said.
The department said support has come in many forms, including “breakfasts, lunches, dinners, snacks, drinks, desserts, donations, and countless acts of generosity.”
“Every meal reminds our volunteers that this community stands beside them,” the post stated.
The Enterprise Police Department also recognized dozens of community partners for contributing to the effort, including local restaurants, churches, businesses, civic organizations, the Coffee County Sheriff’s Office, the 12th Circuit District Attorney’s Office for Coffee and Pike counties, veterans organizations and individual citizens.
“The search continues, and our volunteers continue working tirelessly each day. We are incredibly grateful for a community that continues to stand with them,” the department said.
The post concluded with a message of appreciation: “From the bottom of our hearts—thank you for helping us take care of those who are taking care of this mission.”
