HEADLAND, Ala. (WDNews) — According to the Henry County Sheriff’s Office, narcotics investigators with the Henry County Task Force executed a search warrant on July 9 in the 100 block of Tanglewood Drive in Headland.
Authorities said Christopher Lamar Baxter, 49, of Headland, was arrested following the search. He was charged with three counts of unlawful possession of a controlled substance, possession of marijuana first degree, and certain persons forbidden to possess a firearm.
According to the sheriff’s office, Baxter was transported to the Henry County Jail on bonds totaling $75,000.
The investigation remains ongoing.
“I would like to thank the Henry County Task Force Investigators for continuing to work diligently to keep the drugs off our streets. I would also like to thank the members of the Henry County SWAT Team as well as members of the Houston County Sheriff’s Office Vice & Narcotics Division for their assistance today. This case is still under investigations and more charges may be forthcoming,” said Sheriff Eric Blankenship.
