ARITON, Ala. (WDNews) — The Coffee County Sheriff’s Office has announced a $10,000 reward for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the person responsible for the murder of Melanie Dorrell.
According to the Coffee County Sheriff’s Office, Dorrell was killed on Oct. 4, 2022, on Coffee County Road 117 outside Ariton.
Investigators are urging anyone with information about the case to come forward.
According to the sheriff’s office, “Investigators are asking anyone with information, no matter how small it may seem, to come forward.”
Officials said tips may help bring new leads in the ongoing homicide investigation.

The sheriff’s office also noted that anonymous tips can be submitted through the Coffee County Sheriff’s Office mobile app.
