ENTERPRISE, Ala. (WDNews) — Huey’s Walking Tacos has announced it will permanently close its doors on July 1, ending a six-year run serving customers in Enterprise and across the Wiregrass.
In a social media post, the business said the decision came “after many hours of contemplation” and was made with “heavy hearts.”
“We have been blessed with 6 GREAT YEARS of fun and adventure serving Enterprise and the Wiregrass,” the post stated. “We love our fans! Without you, we wouldn’t have made it this far.”
The restaurant’s brick-and-mortar location at 6001 Boll Weevil Circle will remain open through June 26. Owners encouraged customers to visit during the final weeks of operation and show their support before the business closes.
Huey’s Walking Tacos also noted that its first event was Freedom Fest and that its final event appearance will come at this year’s Freedom Fest at Fort Rucker.
“Our first event was Freedom Fest as well as our last! (poetic justice),” the business wrote. “We WILL be at Freedom Fest on Fort Rucker showing OUT!! One last time… y’all come ‘GET SOME!'”
The business thanked its customers for their support throughout the years and said it was humbled by the opportunity to serve the community.
