DOTHAN, Ala. (WDNews) — The Firehouse Subs Public Safety Foundation is now accepting applications for its 2026 scholarship program, offering financial support to students planning careers in public safety.
The foundation will award $5,000 scholarships to 15 students pursuing careers as firefighters, law enforcement officers, paramedics or emergency medical technicians.
To qualify, applicants must be a high school senior or graduate, or a current college undergraduate. Students must plan to enroll part-time or full-time in a firefighter, law enforcement or emergency medical program at an accredited two-year or four-year college, university or vocational-technical school in the United States for the upcoming academic year. Applicants must also plan to pursue a career as a first responder.
The scholarship is open to the public, including Firehouse Subs employees.
The application portal will close Monday, April 20 at 3 p.m. CT or once 500 applications have been received.
