DOTHAN, Ala. (WDNews) — Families across the Wiregrass can once again let the Easter Bunny handle the work this spring as the popular “Egg My Yard” fundraiser returns for 2026, including a special autism-friendly option.
The annual event allows families to wake up Easter morning to a yard filled with pre-hidden eggs, placed by volunteers the night before. Organizers say the autism-friendly version features sensory-friendly filled eggs, offering a thoughtful alternative to traditional candy-filled eggs for children with autism and sensory sensitivities.
The Wiregrass Area “Egg My Yard” marks its fifth year and continues to grow in demand. Organizers say spots are limited and encourage early sign-ups.
A glow-in-the-dark egg option is also available for families who want to add a fun twist to their Easter celebration.
Proceeds from the fundraiser help support autism-related programs and services throughout the Wiregrass area.
