Kinsey, Ala. (WDNews) – The Town of Kinsey will not hold a municipal election on August 26, 2025, after all qualified candidates for mayor and town council ran unopposed.
Mayor Jason Reneau will continue to serve another term. The town council will also remain unchanged, with the following members set to retain their seats:
Vivian Jones
Tina Nowlin
Wayne Nowlin
Whitney Nowlin
Nancy Roediger
Gene Sims
King Thomas
According to Alabama law, when no opposition exists for a municipal race, the election is canceled and the unopposed candidates are automatically declared elected.
