DOTHAN, Ala. (WDNews) – A woman is in custody after police say she unlawfully entered vehicles on a property in the 1100 block of Blackshear Street, injuring an officer during the arrest.
Officers responded to the scene on Aug. 13, 2025, where they located the suspect and attempted to detain her. Police say she actively resisted, and during the struggle, one officer suffered a broken ankle.
Two additional officers reported brief medical symptoms and were evaluated by medical personnel out of caution. Officials say both are stable and undergoing routine medical checks, with no serious concerns.
Charges against the suspect are pending.
