DOTHAN, Ala. (WDNews) — The 2026 Toys for Tots Holiday Campaign will officially begin nationwide on Thursday, Oct. 1.
While Oct. 1 marks the national kickoff, Toys for Tots officials said local chapters operate on their own schedules. Collection periods, registration dates and toy distribution dates may vary depending on the community.
Families looking for assistance, along with people interested in donating toys or volunteering, are encouraged to contact their local Toys for Tots chapter for specific information.
Local chapter information can be found through the Toys for Tots national website at toysfortots.org/find-your-local-chapter.
Toys for Tots chapters are supported by local coordinators, volunteers, Marines and community partners who collect and distribute toys and books to children in need during the holiday season.
Organizers are encouraging communities to begin preparing now as the 2026 holiday campaign gets underway.
