JACKSON COUNTY, Fla, (WDNews) – On Tuesday, May 21, deputies rushed to Rocky Creek Baptist Church after a reported burglary. They found a shed and trailer had been broken into, with several items missing.

In a twist straight out of a comedy, the investigation took a surprising turn when deputies discovered a game camera near the crime scene. The camera contained crystal-clear photos of the suspect, identified as Devin Hires.

Fast forward to Saturday, June 1, and Hires found himself in handcuffs, facing charges of Burglary, Theft, Dealing in Stolen Property, Possession of Burglary Tools, and Violation of Probation.

Apparently, the only thing he stole more successfully than church property was his own mugshot!
