Local Authorities Arrest Man for Fentanyl Sale in Bonifay

BONIFAY, Fla (WDNews) – On May 31, 2024, Ryan Koering was arrested by deputies from the Holmes County Sheriff’s Office (HCSO) and officers from the Bonifay Police Department. Koering faces charges for selling fentanyl and the illegal use of a two-way communication device.

The arrest followed a thorough investigation by Holmes County authorities, who had gathered information suggesting that Koering was involved in distributing fentanyl. To catch him in the act, investigators set up a controlled buy.

Koering traveled to a designated location in Bonifay to sell 11 fentanyl pills to undercover deputies. After the transaction was completed, officers swiftly moved in and took Koering into custody without any issues.

This arrest highlights the ongoing efforts of local law enforcement to combat the distribution of dangerous drugs in the community.
