U-Haul Offers Free Storage to Tornado Victims in Arkansas, Oklahoma, and Texas

NATIONAL (WDNews) – In the wake of devastating tornadoes that ripped through parts of Arkansas, Oklahoma, and Texas, U-Haul is stepping up to support affected families by providing 30 days of free self-storage and U-Box container usage.

The powerful storms hit hard on Saturday, causing extensive damage in Rogers and Bentonville, Ark.; Claremore and Pryor, Okla.; and Valley View, Texas, along with surrounding areas. Buildings were torn apart, trees uprooted, power lines downed, and numerous homes damaged. Tragically, several fatalities have been reported, and tens of thousands of residents are still without power, struggling to find new places to live or store their belongings.

Recognizing the urgent need for secure storage solutions during this crisis, U-Haul Company of Tulsa President Jim Smith and U-Haul Company of North Dallas President Kevin Flanagan have combined efforts to open eight stores for this relief initiative. The offer includes one month of free self-storage and U-Box container rentals, crucial for those in the midst of cleanup and recovery.

The 30-day free service is available for new self-storage and U-Box rentals based on availability. In Arkansas and Texas, the U-Box offer applies to on-site storage at U-Haul facilities. In Oklahoma, residents might also benefit from delivery and pick-up services for U-Box containers.

For more information or to find a participating location, residents can visit the U-Haul website or contact their nearest U-Haul store.
