NATIONAL News (WDNews) Naples, Florida, has clinched the top spot in U.S. News & World Report’s latest ranking of the Best Places to Live in the U.S. for 2024-2025. The list, unveiled this week, evaluates 150 major cities based on value, desirability, job market, and quality of life.

This year, a notable shift to city-based data, as opposed to metropolitan area data, brought fresh faces into the top 25, particularly from the Midwest and South. Naples’ robust job market and high quality of life propelled it to No. 1, while Boise, Idaho, and Colorado Springs, Colorado, secured the second and third spots, respectively, due to their strong job markets and overall value.

Other notable cities in the top 10 include Greenville, SC; Charlotte, NC; Raleigh, NC; Huntsville, AL; Virginia Beach, VA; Austin, TX; and Boulder, CO. U.S. News also updated its scoring to emphasize the importance of value and job market, reflecting shifting priorities among residents and potential movers.
