DALE County, Ala (WDNews) – An Amazon delivery driver’s report led to the discovery of severe animal neglect in Pinkard, Ala resulting in the arrest of a Wiregrass woman.

Police say 37-year-old Kimberly Snell has been charged with cruelty to animals after officers found two adult dogs and eight puppies in deplorable conditions at her mobile home on Wednesday. The dogs were chained up with no available water at the time discovered.

Tragically, three of the puppies had already died by the time authorities arrived. The five surviving puppies were taken to the Ozark Animal Shelter but had to be euthanized due to their poor condition.

Snell was arrested by Dale County authorities and has since been released on bond. The investigation is ongoing, and further charges may be pending.
