Atmore – (WDNews)Two men were severely injured in a stabbing incident at a Tractor Supply store in Atmore last week. Atmore police responded to the scene shortly after noon and found one man bleeding profusely inside the store while another was found in the parking lot. Officers and bystanders acted swiftly, applying tourniquets to slow blood loss until paramedics arrived. Both men were airlifted to separate trauma centers for treatment.

Police detained two individuals with blood on their clothing at the scene, but they were later released after questioning. The severity of the victims’ injuries delayed police interviews for several days. Surveillance footage and witness accounts helped investigators piece together the events.

After questioning, it was revealed that one of the injured men, found paralyzed from the waist down with a punctured lung and facial bruising, faces a long road to recovery. The other victim also sustained severe injuries. The suspect, once released from the hospital, will face 1st-degree assault charges, according to the Escambia County District Attorney. Atmore police have withheld the identities of those involved.
