Brave K-9 Buster Assists Pike County Deputies in Arresting Domestic Violence Suspect

Pike County – (WDnews)In a statement released by the Pike County Sheriff’s Office today, K-9 honor was celebrated as the Sheriff’s Office K-9 tracking team played a pivotal role in resolving a domestic violence incident. Responding to a distress call, deputies discovered a victim with a broken wrist, allegedly due to an assault by a family member.

With swift action, the Sheriff’s Office K-9 tracking team, led by Buster, was deployed to locate the suspect. Buster’s keen senses led deputies to the suspect hiding in nearby woods, facilitating the swift arrest.

The suspect, identified as 25-year-old Austin Palick, now faces an aggravated battery charge and is currently held at the Pike County Jail awaiting further legal proceedings.
