Slocomb Motorcycle Accident Sends Rider to Florida Trauma Center

Slocomb, AL – (WDNews)On the evening of April 26, 2024, emergency responders from Slocomb Fire-Rescue and Slocomb Police rushed to the scene of a motor vehicle collision (MVC) on Hwy 52, in front of Nate’s Oyster. The incident, which occurred around 6:36 p.m., involved a motorcycle and resulted in serious injuries to the rider.

Upon arrival, rescue units found the motorcycle rider suffering from severe injuries. Quick action was taken, and the patient was swiftly transported by Survival Flight 21, based in Blountstown, directly to a level 1 trauma center in Florida.

Details surrounding the cause of the accident are currently under investigation by the Slocomb Police Department. Authorities are working diligently to determine the factors contributing to the incident.
