Dothan Man Arrested on Multiple Sexual Abuse Charges

The Dothan Police Department has made an arrest in a case involving allegations of inappropriate sexual contact between an adult male and several minor females. The investigation was launched after the Department of Human Resources reported the incident to the police in March 2024.

The Special Investigations Unit, which specializes in handling such sensitive cases, took charge of the investigation. After a thorough and methodical inquiry, significant evidence was uncovered, leading to the arrest of 26-year-old Robert Wesley Gibson II.

Gibson has been charged with four counts of Sexual Abuse first degree, one count of Sodomy first degree, and one count of Attempted Rape first degree. He was taken into custody on Wednesday, April 17, 2024. A bond of $150,000.00 has been set for his release.

In accordance with Alabama’s juvenile privacy laws and the sensitivity of this case, no further information will be disclosed at this time.
