A new way to beat the heat this summer has opened in Opp. The city’s new splash pad is located on Whaley Street across from the city pool and is free to the public. The splash pad at Donaldson Park came at a cost of $350,000, which was covered by the county and several private donations. The splash pad will be open Tuesday through Sunday from 9am until 8pm each day.
