The death penalty is still on the table. That was a judge’s ruling this week ahead of the highly anticipated Cole McCraney double murder trial set for next month. The judge has denied a motion to prohibit the death penalty without a unanimous jury vote. Judge William Filmore says he will follow the law, which states only 10 of 12 jurors need to vote for the death penalty during sentencing.
