Extra police will be out this weekend for the Mardi Gras parade in downtown Dothan. Authorities say there will be 40 officers assigned along the parade route and others keeping a watch on the cameras in the downtown area. Last year there was a problem with spectators jumping the barricades to get closer to the floats. Its estimated 40,000 people will attend tomorrow afternoon’s event.
