A Henry County man is sentenced to 40 years in prison for the 2016 death of teen. Court records say Jeremy Carruthers lost control of his car and hit 15-year-old Cody Jenkins, who was bringing in the trash cans from in front of his home. The boy’s family asked for the maximum sentence in the case where Carruthers, who was convicted of reckless manslaughter, apologized to the family during sentencing last week.
