Every County in Alabama will get grant money this year to make up for lost revenue from gun carry permits. Once the permit less carry law took effect last year, local sheriff departments no longer had the revenue of people purchasing carry permits. The amount of grant money each county will get is based on their 2022 carry permit sales numbers.
